Vietnamese Grilled Chicken

1lb Chicken Thigh or Breast (skin on)

3 Spring Onion for garnish

Marinade Sauce:

Vietnamese Chicken Marinade

1.5  tablespoon lime juice

1.5 tablespoon canola oil

1.5 tablespoon Nouc Mum Chay

2 tablespoons brown sugar

2 garlic cloves minced

1 teaspoon grated ginger

1 Bird’s Eye chili3 stalks Cilantro


  1. Blend all ingredients together except for chicken and spring onion.
  2. Marinade chicken in a stainless steel container or ziplock bag for a minimum of 2 hours or preferably overnight.
  3. Grill on medium to high heat until it’s fully cooked. Be sure to flip both sides consistently to avoid burning because of the sugar in the marinade.
  4. Can add chopped spring onions as garnish.
